if you had a friend that you were worried about (like he might do something stupid), how would you tell him it's all going to be OK?

it depends on the friend....I have had a few friends in that situation and had to approach each one different
if they had kids, I would remind them they needed to be strong for the kids....or you could point out how to make things ok

the problem is you don't know that it's going to be okay. you can only convince them that you or others will be around for them.
