Turn On, Boot Up, Jack In.
the theme and will showcase some stuff we may use virtual worlds with in year 2024.
bit.ly/b1r80 Dirk: Oh goodness, that isn't a real slogan is it? Please tell me not.
It seems like the usual crowd from BL and SL5B who caused so much irritation, organising it.
participating for the first time
participating and getting progressively less enthused.
You're out on an asteroid, in a middle of nowhere, where you can't even see the sun or disperse light in an atmosphere.
Walkways don't fit together and float progressively higher off the ground, everything glows to get noticed.
Not enough people even want to bother, apparently, because a large number of parcels is unoccupied.
The whole is punctuated by barely visible gigantic structures that never render fully.
In short, it instils a sense of dread.
It's a Timothy Leary thing Ordinal. We are gonna go cosmic and just have fun. Approved Griefing FTW!
so far organization has been good, griping has been low, and everything is pretty smooth. I'll promote it any way I can that is free.
Perhaps all this is a proper extrapolation of the future of virtual worlds?
I am currently speculating this is a future of SL where it does not join a hypergrid network...
While I have nothing to complain in the organisational department (except roads) ...
...the visual impression and resulting style are indeed dreadful.
agrees to a large extent with Rika. It'll be a glowfest.
too many builds don't fit the theme. The one next to mine is pure vanilla, set to full bright, as if it was dragged from another part of SL.
*not* happy with a particle silhouette of a child with the words "Abduct Me" on it even if it is being beamed up to a spaceship @ SL6B.
I never went to 5B, I am not that fond of lag.
if someone would enlighten her about what the theme is this year?
would guess 'showcasing how we ****** **** our residents in the past year', but surely, they must have found a more 'marketable' term for it
Something along the lines of "the future of virtual worlds".
it is a dark, Disney-fied landscape of a planet devastated by an asteroid. Once again, my exhibit *won't* have nipples.
In general, a lack of nipples is a surrogate marker for a bad time.
