it is funny that I have a Karma of 20.64 but I haven't done a single thing in Plurk for more than two weeks.

If you start plurking and twittering at the same time (ping.fm) I bet you'll be the first person to reach 100.00pts Karma!

no, evan.... here, the rules are different... Scobleizer needs more interactive responses on Plurk...
DR. OOPY says
he can use Ping.fm,but less than 30 messages or his karma will crash

scobleizer imo plurk is like a big irc channel, twitter/identi.ca are original microblogging services..

evan: Supposedly plurking more than 30x/day is considered a nuisance and lowers your karma. But there are caps for each karma update
the JoshMeister says
...for example, if you have karma over 60 you can only get +0.09 at a time, while others at 60+ can also gain that much
the JoshMeister says
...exceptions: you also get a bonus of +0.10 when someone uses your referral link to sign up
the JoshMeister says
obviously scobleizer doesn't care about his Plurk karma (can't blame him—it's not really worth anything)
the JoshMeister says
point is: even if he wanted to, he'd never be the first to reach 100 karma
the JoshMeister thinks

Plurk is more interesting than most social networks and wishes scobleizer would post here more often
MapleMama says

that's too bad. I've grown to love Plurk
MapleMama says
it's like a social form of Twitter , with a hambone thrown in.

UKStevieB says

evan, I think the point hectorarturo was making is that if he used ping.fm to update twitter/plurk together, scobleizer will pass 30 easy

There are certain people that Plurk should allow to have consistent Karma.

Plurk karma is worthless but the ability to easily follow and discuss a Plurk is much better than Twitter.
Cocoy. says

imnj maybe i'm getting old... but i find following conversations on twitter is much easier than plurk. simpler anyway.

I guess it is a matter of preference. I like the feature that responses are rooted under the lead comment (or Plurk).
KitiaraTomsen says

I agree with Cocoy, although I like the threading aspect of Plurk
tfl says

hmmm = maybe that#'s a feature of karma - one gains by abstenence
