La Jolla is nice. Has sort of a Monterey feel to it. Not inexpensive, but relaxing and a nice place for a date.

I went to UCSD which is there - many good times were had.

Tijuana was a pretty scary place 25 years ago when I lived in SD. I couldn't imagine it now.

You could go to Black's Beach. It's for nekkid people. Sometimes there's even a hawt girl!!!... but not often.
