WOW Excellent topic. What age?
HI Ted most probably those in high school. nope just want people to join in creating awareness for the kids
I but the are easily adaptable curricula in those links above. What aspect do you want to focus on?
You have the online predictors, identity theft, reputation management, financial scams, cyber bullying, ...
I think for your company there would be a tremendous opportunity to put together a great information center ...
...and use the tour to bring awareness to the potential problems and drive the traffic to the site
That is my kind of project. Maybe I am thinking bigger than you want to think?
thats the idea Ted since here in the Philippines Net Ettiquete is not yet part of our curriculum
what we envision is to come up with a manifesto urging our government agencies to include it in the regular curricula
so that children and parents would be empowered to make decision based on the right information
As a former teacher i appreciate the idea of educating children but I do say I pucker a bit a the words government agencies and internet...
...I am not sure what you have in mind but there are two clear issues that I see.
Filtering, (net nanny style) on a local level, and education on a populace level for the children.
Governmental oversight in any form of media has traditionally gone wrong. We are becoming a cyberconnected world ...
...and any over reaching filtering is not healthy, in my opinion.
yup Ted we have this bill in congress that tells isps to put filtering software so that they could regulate what the people do on d net
but we feel it is not going to be effective not unless you empower people with knowledge on how to use the net properly
