what kind of design work do you do?

well that commission is illustration for a band's EP and a logo, but mainly I do website design

mainly web design and designing for myspace.

do you illustrate people well... like teen girls?

Not so well freehand, but I've been using some human form photos and then tracing them, I guess you'd call that cheating

but its a lot harder than it looks

yeah, i know what ya mean. I'm a really good freehand artist. I finally just created 1 female character for one of my websites.

yeah, the characters will be kind of cartoonish, but something teen girls will find cool. the new section will be for girls ages 10-14

keep practicing though, and take some art/drawing classes soon. they'll be a huge help!

also, I'm not sure people would take a 14 year old seriously when he signs up for a life drawing class

doesn't you school offer a good art program? That's where I got a good base for my drawing.

umm I'm not in America, but In england I'm in High school, but you have to choose 3 main studies as well as the basics (maths science etc)

and I chose music drama and ict and graphic design (I meant to say 4 studies)

so I didn't really have any room for art

ohh, that's a bummer

and It wouldn't be what I wanted, its hardly ever drawing and theres a lot of sculpture and painting, which I've got a fair grasp of

yeah, my art 1 course in high school at first really covered basic drawing.

then they gave us some basic painting, etc skills

maybe next year you can give art a try

unfortunately we have to do these things for 2 years then pick 4 of them to do at collage and I can't take art

which is a bummer

I think I'll probably just take some classes when I'm at University

yeah, find some books that cover landscapes, animals, etc. too to help improve your skills

also just practicing with basic objects you see around the house like phones and lamps help
