LA had enough smog to insulate it and keep things toastie tho'...
norcal and socal are 2 different worlds. heck we have microclimates here in the sf area
across the bay is 10 degrees warmer than sf, I'm 10-20 degrees warmer than them and over the next hill is 20+ warmer than me
all within a 30 min drive

yep yep - I know. Weird weather in that area. Fog from the mixing of the moist temperate, and chilly arctic... Screwed up weather
I can leave my house at 85 go over to SF in 30 minutes and freeze
