I'm really pleased with Clearwire. It's as fast as TimeWarner, but more reliable.

my friend in Seattle has Clearwire but it is really slow on my Mac

but OS X Leopard does not play nice with a number of non-Apple routers

I had to change the encryption on that router since my work laptop is leopard. You should be able to connect next time you're here!
