Reminds me of the former cat.

When we were still in the apartment (and she was allowed in the bedroom), she would stand over the hubby's alarm clock. "Meow.Meow.Meow."

If he smacked her in the head she'd stop. For precisely 9 minutes. Don't tell me cats don't have a time sense!

Any cat that can learn to imitate an alarm clock is not a stupid cat.

After two snoozes she sped up to every four minutes.

And once we moved to the house and locked her out of the bedroom she went into true annoyance mode and attempted to rip up the carpet.

She knew ripping up the carpet by the door got her results. One of us would get up and throw a shoe at her.

Of course, it didn't get her the results she wanted (getting fed), but she lived in perpetual hope.

She thought as long as she could get us up and out of the room, she'd get fed. She was wrong, but she tried.

Since Vivian gets fed wet food half as often (she needed to go on a diet, and has dry available 24-7), and only gets fed at night,

we have fewer problems now. Of course, putting in the laminate floors might have something to do with that too.

No carpet to rip up.
