you'd want InDesign if you were creating a newsletter, not photoshop.. but yeah.. word is a pain in the ass

I can't even begin to imagine using PS for something like that since it isn't really built correctly for type... :S I would rip my hair out.

she could use it to create a basic background for a newsletter, and then create and change text and photo boxes inside of it?

Well I'm sure it CAN be done... it just wouldn't be as intuitive as it could be.. and wouldn't allow for the same flexibility as InDesign

not used InDesign for 3 years since yearbook class! but will check if she has it at home

she needs to make an easy template for her co-workers to use when she is gone in 6 more weeks! eep!

yeah, well like I said, it CAN be done.. I was just thinking you could make your life easier if you had ID at your disposal.
