A co-worker bought a BMW Z4 after getting his license. He had it for a week and then crashed it. The repairs take over a month!!!

It was a 2nd hand car, so he probably didn't feel as bad as crashing a brand new car, but still.

Most people I know crashed their cars in the first week of getting their first car.

It's probably because they aren't used to driving it, or they haven't driven on the road unaccompanied before.

I had a classmate with a Volkwagen - she scratched the paint on day #1. Crashed into a taxi on day #5.

i have classmates that drive to school, but i only know of one who had an accident..

I guess my classmates were more excited about having a car that they forgot all about the rest of the traffic!
