why his Plurk responses are only 217 when he's had at least 900 responses with two Plurkshop sessions alone? plurkbudy

David, that tracks only responses you've made. Not how many have responded to you.

Hi to both of you. Yeesh, Plurk stats seem to be all about the "broadcasting" of a message and NOT the conversastion.

Hmmm, I suppose. But it doesn't encourage people to spark robust debate (only to speak, not to engage). I think there is a bit of a diffrnc

i think the karma algo is messed up to start with. it's like plurking for points instead of for interaction.

they are your personal responses not the # you have received.

Crazy how when some irrelevant carrot gets put in front of you human nature is to try to chase it (you have to stop yourself instead) Nuts!

They originally targeted Plurk at a much younger community; I think they might have rethought it if they knew how many 35+ would be here
you have to remember who the target audience was...I'm still waiting to see if once you reach 100 K , it quits. I'm hoping at least.
karma (and the fact that you get more for people responding to your plurk does help teach conversation, so I think it's good to a point

Hey there Teeg - I think the response thing works the opposite according to others - I wish it happened the way you describe it tho.
