I just hate to use open wifi spots because I don't want people to see my username and password and all that stuff.

but hotspots like that are open so anyone can see if you type in your password and open email and stuff, no protection from that

I'll try using it around my house first and see how I like it. I usually use my blackberry for twitting anyway.

Not very many people are smart enough to know how to do that stuff, and it also depends on where you are.

how do I add my touch mac address to my router? It's asking for an ip address

what do I put for an ip address, I don't think the touch has one

I went to the settings for assigning ip address not DHCP

I hardly ever go to the netgear settings online, and it's a fairly new router too so unfamiliar. I'd like to get the apple one

Well I have my macbook pro and my bf has a dell laptop. And what really sucks is I can't share with the canon all in one we have, I called

and they told me oh, this particular model won't work if you try and network with an apple

you can't use the canon on the mac?

I can if I plug it directly, but it's not printer share friendly with the mac

no I called them and they flat out told me the all in one doesn't share with the mac but just the regular color printer would.

yes it does! I'd like to get a laser printer that can be shared but I'm afraid of the powder, they say it can harm you if inhaled?

I know, it's still expensive! the best rated one seems to still be the okidata printer. I always see it in macworld mag.

i've heard of that one, oh well gonna stick with or inkjet, i can afford the replacement cartiridges

I know, the printer is cheaper now but the cartridge is where they empty your wallet.
