Have done similar w\ 5 yr old. One hr of Nintendo day & 1/2 hr of tv (actually dvds cause tv is dead)

2 hours max of all media time for my kids too. Media can kill creativity sometimes, especially at the young ages of development.

have them pull weeds. You'll find out how fast they can become "unbored" and find themselves something to do. Board games work at our house.
