Have done similar w\ 5 yr old. One hr of Nintendo day & 1/2 hr of tv (actually dvds cause tv is dead)

2 hours max of all media time for my kids too. Media can kill creativity sometimes, especially at the young ages of development.

I hate it when my kids say they are bored. There is ALWAYS something to clean in the house!

I wish all parents would have rules like that! I just came home from a bike ride and saw ZERO kids outside playing in our neighborhood.

have them pull weeds. You'll find out how fast they can become "unbored" and find themselves something to do. Board games work at our house.
