correct. first understand their perspective on successful design. (by asking specific questions that you've already prepared based services)
states that the key is understanding their perspective "clearly and efficiently" that way.. you can then change or better yet, influence...
if perhaps, since your the designer, you should inform them on what successful design is and make them understand what works best.

thats true. I was just saying the designer obvisously has a better eye in what looks good while the "client" might have a good concept!
come to an understanding about that.
agrees, though the client needs to feel accepted all that he or she is trying to convey. concept and design.
so the way to do that is in a influential way. providing them with other successful marketing material with in their service.
in other words: giving them verbal or tangible examples.
so that you don't ignite expectation in another design or layout.

if when a client pushed his concept over your design, if it would be a good idea to decline home as a client. we don't do what u want.

anyway to me it seems like most clients are pretty clueless when it comes to design
design understandings... maybe it's only the clients I've worked with... well I did work with few companies that kinda knew what they wanted
but mostly they expect u to do all the thinking for them... that's why most of my years in this industry are spent on "slapping things toget
