I'm going to steal that for something I am working on.
bulimia is an addiction, doing things for their own sake (in this case sexual pleasure) is not necesarily an addiction
doing things without the natural end of the acts, "just because", spontanuous, childlike, can be good. i understand you mean sexual context
but it is possible to use contraception while being aware of the natural end of the acts, just as it is when you use natural birth control
where do you draw the line between natural birth control and modern contraception? isn't it the intention that's important then method?
fsiefken: Being aware that you are denying the ends is still denying the ends.
Intention and method matter. Contraception is intrinsically evil. Having sex during a non-fertile time is not evil. Though if NFP is used
what if a woman used the pill for medical reasons and this affected her fertility, sex is permitted as the intention is different
as not being open to life than the will is evil in this regard. NFP can also be used to help have a child.
yes indeed. about sex with medical advised birth control pill - one is aware end are denied, but one can still be open to life - ilke acting
so sex and intention is same - what goes on in mind & soul same, only difference contraception is used
not the only difference. Contraception is intrinsically evil by itself, so that adds to the sin.
i think in this particular example of a medical oral hormone (with contraceptive side effects) you are mistaken - even though ...
... you are within catholic teaching concerning condoms & co.. which i - i must confess - have some difficulty understanding to the full
in part because of edge cases like these
that's one way to look at it.
