and 2) is there anywhere to get audiobooks in MP3 format? Audible books burn in standard CD format meaning 5, 6 discs or more!

all schools would adopt Google Docs, etc. so flash drives would become obsolete

I would check with local office store or online. 2GB are now around $10 at our Office Depot

Instead of a flash drive, I got a thumb sized reader for various sizes of SD cards at Radio Shack. Love it b'cause I have lots of SD lying

Many phones, MP3 players, GPS units - all use MicroSD. w/ Adapter, also fits many cameras.

I agree, it's hard to find anything less than 1GB now, but they don't need so big!

I use
audible.com
to download books straight to itunes. Then when you "burn the cd" I have found itunes finds natural breaks

I've done that before. my issue is I don't want so many discs per book. In MP3 format you can get six hours of audio on a disc,
jasonwrites

rather than the 80 minutes of standard CD format. so I want to be able to put a book on just 1-2 discs instead of 6-7+

I guess if I checked out of library and ripped them to PC, then burned MP3 disc it would work... but surely someone must sell them?
