Rushdie's great. No, I bought his new book but haven't read it yet. TWOO is a tiny book that's his analysis of the movie.

I tried reading "The satanic verses" when it first came out but could not get through the first chapter. Very obtuse.

The Name of the Rose was great. My sister said he wrote the first chapter to weed people out (made it dry, difficult reading)
