he was in a cassock and surplice though...
needing exorcism permission from headmaster?
the idea that is is young priests that don't believe in exorcisms or such.
They said the he was from the 70's. If anything, then the younger priest should have been doing the exorcism, not the older one...
Plus is was so predictable since you knew from the beginning who the bad guy would be.
So that was annoying for such a usually creative show.
what's wrong with wearing a Rosary?
Migly: it's not jewelry. And Hollywood loves to use it as jewelry. I've NEVER seen a Priest wear a rosary
so the idea of one wearing on on TV is just plain stupid
I have seen KIDS wear them especially when they don't have pockets and they're given one at VBS! lol
I wouldn't worry about Psych though, it's a far from serious show
aside from the tv show...perhaps one would want to wear one to honor the Rosary. Just a thought here
Migly: uh, no. It would be seen the wrong way. It's become a fad of Hollywood types to wear it, actually, along with the rest of their
bling. Quite insulting to anyone who actually knows what it stands for an honors it in the way it's meant to be honored...by PRAYING it
I'm not seeing where wearing a Rosary is bad. I did a search on
Catholic.com and looked in the Catechism. How would one come to the....
....the conclusion that it is being worn disrespectfully? What if it wasn't blessed? What if someone wore it, as I mentioned, to honor it?
How would anyone other than the one wearing it know the intentions of the person wearing it? Inquiring minds need to know.
there's nothing wrong w wearing a rosary specifically. my grandmother would wear hers around the next under her clothes, occasionally i'd
see here fingering it like she was counting, helpful if u have no pockets
unfortunately gang members wear them and hang em on the car mirror w/out any devotion whatsoever, its a gang symbol for some sadly
as far as proper representation of how a religious would be dressed, theatre ought to get the outfit right, no religious wears the rosary
around the NECK, maybe hanging off the belt, not the neck
jeffs right. the costume guy must be a dope
it was odd - during the 70s and 80s when theatre would dress religious properly in habits, didn't work b/c back then nobody wore em or they
had changed and shortened and nver looked like the traditional ones you see frequently today
i'd watch these and wonder how the costume guy could be so outta touch...that sister in real life wd be in a polyester pantsuit and beads
obviously, how would the viewers know it was a religious member. such irony huh. kinda the point of why religious SHOULD dress differently
unfortunately people wear blessed rosaries as jewelry .. that is wrong.
it makes sense to have a rosary at the waist, near the hands
it's only ok to wear one as a necklace if you are a paratrooper.
I need to get some properly green cord to make knotted rosaries for them
maybe brown in case they jump in the desert!
thicke I think the Rosary Army twine rosaries look better!
my point was that priests do in fact not wear Rosaries around their neck, not to say that some who do this as a devotional practice are bad
