Or pressure on the LI 4 (about an inch below where your thumb and forefinger meet) on the same side as the toothache.

well the last time i put a warm compress on my face when i was in this condition. I ended up in the worse kind of pain and my jaw swelled up

heat promotes swelling, cold takes it away. You should use heat to relax muscles, cold to reduce inflammation.
