creating a strategy to build and maintain good content. or is that too basic of an answer? :-)

the definition of content is too general to create a strategy for. You need to identify pieces and describe how to manage interactions.

we get hung up on managing content when we should be managing the business decision flow that content enables

AZJazzyJ I think managing content from a messaging and objectives standpoint is as important as the mechanics of a CMS

I agree, it is just that talking to business groups it is too hard for them to grasp the definition of content.

they know what artifacts they need to make business decisions and you can create a strategy for managing that. It is a terminology gap

Good points here about content strategy. And I would add -- what about a comment strategy?

too many business decision makers still equate content to web pages (sadly that is true here)

connie brings up a valid point, I think any communication that adds to the message needs be included in the strategy
