u did not give ur seat up to her?
i took train to marina bay from raffles place bec i want a seat home to woodlands.
when train reach marina bay, there was another train opposite. So I ran across to get a seat. Found one in the middle of a row of seats.
a family also ran across after me and there were 5 of them inc 2 kids. They looked around for a empty row, can't find.
2 of them sat on either side of me, one kid in stroller. I wanted to move then the auntie said in Malay "see this guy, not understanding"
wah. never give chance to you lah.
so i told her back "I understand Malay you know, and I was here first. What you did was rude you know"
power!! how'd she react? and why do you understand malay anyways?
she apologised (insincerely) and turned to attend to the little girl with her. My L2 was Malay.
the thing is if they weren;t so kiasu, they would be happily remain together as they were in the other later train. Why take it out on me?
gurms. takes all kind to make the world go round ah.
geram lah. Some people need to differentiate privilege and needs. If she asked nicely, I would have moved, no question.
you'll be surprised some of these rudies are not aunties but pple aged like you and me. singaporeans just very ungracious lah.
l ever met those who just air their armpit to me and l said excuse me to them, they can just act nothing
that poor assumptions shape worldviews, and people often don't realise that this can be self-fulfilling. You help create the world you see.
understand. taking local public transport makes my blood boil!!! no wonder cancer is one of the top killers in S'pore. Free Radicals,
surviving public transport in Singapore requires a special Zen frame of mind... which I don't always have, so my blood sometimes boils too.
haha, blood boiling transport system
mental images of pipe's bursting and molten blood spewing everywhere - must be tied in to mid-day work stress, hurhur.
we should just start slapping rude people in public.
haha, no lah, That's assault. Fight fire with fire.
maybe you should Stomp them instead, heh.
