UK folk looking for ISPs: go nowhere near Bulldog unless you enjoy being ripped off simply because they know it takes you a week to switch.

If my damned T-Mobile 3G worked at all I would be starting the process right now.

T-Mobile is German Telecom. THE national phone provider.I've had so much trouble with them in my life I could write BOOKS.Avoid at all costs

There really isn't any real choice. Half a dozen providers offering, well, very similar deals and service.

The only reason Bulldog exists is that some people are trapped on old phone lines and can't afford a week off the internet.

NONE of the ISPs have updated their software for Snow Leopard, which is my main issue.

I have yet to find any ISP in any country that isn't offering atrocious customer service...

Drivers for 3G modems.

Well, I pay T-Mobile however much a month and I damned well want to get internet access from them.

O2, I barely pay at all as I am PAYG.

I've always used O2 PAYG.I've heard awful tales about contracts and I'm wary. I'm sorry you've had such bad experiences,

Oh, thank you, I'll survive but it is very irritating.

Just to be clear: my DSL is with Bulldog, my 3G modem is TMobile and my iPhone is PAYG O2. I am treated the best as a PAYG customer.

I think that the next 3G modem I get may be PAYG as well.

we had our internet with AOL for a while...we had to chop up our credit card to get rid of them! Very difficult company!

with Zen right now... not cheap, but a 1 month rolling contract, so easy to leave any time if and when I move.

I use T-mobile pay monthly for my 3G (I am virgin media for my home connection). Its coverage is good in London but patchy at best elsewhere

but for £15 a month, as good as unlimited, I am not complaining too much.
