I know how its done in Photoshop... open action pallet, start recording, do what you wanna do to one image, then save and close.

Stop recording, then go to file/generate/batch and fill in the blanks...

its a little confusing but run some tests first before you do the main folder batch...

hmm... try duplicating the layer, bluring the bottom one and earasing bits of the top layer. Its time consuming but thats one solution :-(
