saying it doesn't work is not enough... but WHY is it not working?

In the end, regular readers will be able to see if the blogger is being real or if he is just being ass-kissing

I know its quite infuriating sometimes, that some bloggers etc just write about the good stuff

but thats the meaning of critique - to have one own's opinion about something

hMmm... this is pertaining more to the negatives... often I see posts like "The food sux"

that kinda judgement serves no purpose... it doesnt add value... shouldn't you point out how so it sux... and how u think it should be

how the restaurant can improve or do better

obviously there should be a basis and proof for the statement.

not only for food bloggers but for every point of view to be made

whats bugging you?

I reckon its integrity of the post... publisher slams yet doesnt add value or they just report on the positives and nothing else

it just bugs me when I read such food reviews....
