i think it returns to it to re-cap what we just read... maybe. im not too sure though
keep thinking...what does in media res mean?
I think it has to do mainly on the fact its still a poem so it has poetic elements like starting and ending with the same thing
am i sopose to answer this? cuz you told my class there was no plurk?
i think it went back to in media res because we just got past the most important part of the story
wow...great answer, drew...i didn't even think of that!! good point, matt..we're heading on to part 2, so that kinda wraps it up
yeah like drew said.. its still a poem so it still has to follow the guidelines other wise it woulnt be a poem anymore.
well...the cool thing about poetry is that there aren't technically any guidelines. lots of different ways to write poetry
well that depends on the type of poem it is
that's what i just said..many different styles, genres, forms, etc
i think it started off in the begining as the middle because the author wanted to do some foreshadowing and i think it ended in the middle
so the reader could finally understand why the men were being so rebellious
i think that it does that since its still a poem it contains poem like "features" or characteristics, like rhyming or like the rhythm of it.
i think thatit would do with poetic elements(like wht drew said)
maybe to make the story not so normal like start to end maybe trying to mix it up?
The author brought you back cause to tell you the next part of the story you needed to know the past first to go to the future.
i think it returns to in media res to remind the readers about the confusing beginning, so now they finally understand what it meant
all great ideas...i like that you're remembering that it is a poem...i think that's an important point. don't forget what in media res means
almost like a movie, when it flashes back (you've seen these) or forward (like pulp fiction or memento)
i think tht the poem goes back t
i think tht the poem goes back to the media res because i gives the story good flow in a way tht it doesnt just keep going and going
i think the poem returns to in media res so that the story is suspensful and backround info is given and so that the story does not
i think that because its odyeses tell ing someone about his jourany. its kind of like a flash back story.
yes...you guys are so smart!!
i think the poem returns to "in media res" because switch gears in the way the story
is being narrated, to bring the reader back to the story and make it maybe more interesting
by telling it a different way.
i think the story returns to "in media res" because O is telling his journey to someone an it is a flashback kind of story
to help the reader unerstand...its a different type of writting that keeps it interesting...
trying to have a flash back type of thing
hommer could have started in the middle...trying to foreshadow and stuff?
hommer tryinhg to get the reader to understand the beg.
I think that it goes back to Media Res so it doesn't become repetitive with the same stories, but either way it still would be an epic poem
because of all the adventures that odysseus would have. it's pretty much a cliffhanger, or foreshadowing, making the readers want more
The poem returns to ''In media res'' because it's better to explain the background than just
start from the middle and to get clues from the future as well
its like the outsiders it starts out the same way as it ends.
i think it did it to show foreshadowing. Then it goes to back to tell you all the answers and endings to your questions.
yes...an interesting way to write...maybe to keep us hooked too...a smart technique..foreshadowing is used to create suspense, which
i think the story goes back to media res to keep the readers still interested in the book and so they have some idea of what is going on .
