I think that they might of just fallen like into hypnosis or something to eurylochus..
they don't necessarily "trust" Eurylochus, it's just what he's saying sounds pretty good
and that's also why they became mutinous.
ms skiv ! did our class have to do this too ??
nope...we'll do it monday after "sun god"
do we have any questions for the cattle story or whatever its called?
The men become mutinous because they are hungery and they followed Eurylochus because they all wanted the same thing, food.
I think they followed him cus he prommised them food and it seemed like something better than what odysius was offering them whitch
was not eating the cattle and eating small non filling things
didnt read this in class yet.....
i think they became mutinous because they hadn't eaten in days and Eurylochus was promising them endless food supply.
missss skivvvv. do we have to do this ?
yeah what section thing is it in?
it's true that hunger is a powerful thing..they've done studies on it..people basically lose their minds when they become malnourished
ONLY CLASS 1 NEEDS TO DO THIS!!
they were starving and what that guy said did sound good to them cause it included food
is that the only reason? were they frustrated with o for other reasons? like what?
did we even do this or no?????
grrr...READ MY POSTS...no, your class has not read this yet...do NOT respons
the men became mutinous because there hunger over powered them. they wanted food and the
and they trusted eurylochus becuase they wouldve done anything to get food
ms skiv did ourr class have this?
i think they had enough with odyssis or whatever u say it and how he puts them through and watching men die durring the trip home.
i think they are just starvin an what he said to do included eating food
the men were starving and they thought that this guy had a good idea about building a temple after sacrificing the cattle and no harm done.
i think the men became mutinous because hunger finally took over and they didn't care what it took to get food, and they trusted Eurylochus
because he promised them food
I THINK HIS MEN BECAME MUTINOUS BECAUSE THEY WHERE ALL HUNGRY AND EXAUSTED. EURYLOCHUS WAS OFFERING FREE FOOD AND WHO DOESNT LOVE FREE FOOD
theyre bored, hungry, needy. anything that excites them or feeds them sounds good. they prolly wanted to do it too, but didnt have the guts
why would they trust eurylochus? seems foolish, right? i think steve might be onto something...they've lost a bunch of friends
and so they've lost a bit of faith in O
yes, he is persuasive, especially given the fact that they are starving and already becoming disenchanted with O
i believe the men become mutinous because they got so hungry that anything they see they would go crazy trying to eat it
i think the men became mutinous because they, for some reason will not believe that what odysseus is preaching to them is in their
they need to learn to be a family rather than a lot of individuals
they might have known that od wanted the best but eurylochuswas telling them what they wanted so they went with it.
they becam mutinous because they were hungry and they trusted Eurylochus because they were very hungry and they wanted to eat somethimg.
Eurylochus gave a enspring speech that caused the men to uprise odyese.
very true...yes, kelsey, they fail to see the family or team aspect...they let their base desires get the best of them
i think these men are sick and tired of starving. i think hunger takes over their good
intentions and they become willing to drown full then do die famished.
eurylochus recognises his own hunger and his fellow crewmates and takes advantage of odysseuses
sleep to convince the men to kill the cattle. theyre so hungry that they actually listen.
i think the men became mutinous because they were starving and they trusted eurylochus becasue...
he might have tried to talk them into trusting him. and they either were to tired and hungry to relieze what he was doing or
didnt catch on quick enough to see what he was doing
they all followed him because, like most people today, they would do ANYTHING to survive. in this case, they dont want to starve
the men are ignorant and they prolly didn't know what they were doing cuz there mind isn't right cuz they are starving
also the men had to survive and they believed that this was a way
eurylochus could have tried to talk them into trusting him
i think that the men became mutinous because odysseus was telling them to do things they yearned to want,
but eurylochus agreed to their temptations and let them have what they wanted as individuals, saving them from starvation
The men become mutinous because they want to follow what they want to do and they trust...
They thought it was a life or death situation. so they couldn't wait any longer and did a stupid thing.
Eurylochus because he is the voice of choice(and reason) at the time.
the men become mutinous because their minds and bodies are rebelling against them
men become mutinous because of their situation. when asomeone is in a tough situation, the worst choices can seem like the most pleasant.
it also comes down to the fact that they have no food and havent eaten in a long time
the men trust eurylochus because in their minds they are being offered a food supply and it wouldnt make any sense to them to resist
odyyseus's men trusted eurylochus because of their situation. they were hungry and tired and there were beautiful cattle all around them
The men become mutinous because they are hungry, so they start to ignore what odysseus said.
even if odysseus originally told his crew to leave the cattle alone
so, instead of doing the right thing and toughing it out, they ate the sacred cattle and were forced to pay with their lives.
and believe that listening to eurylochus is the only way to survive. and at the time Eurylochus seemed to make complete sense, and they trust
him because he tells them they can make it up to the gods later, and they will be forgiven.
The men became mutinous because they were starving. They did anything just to get food,
I think the men became mutinous because they were starving. I think they trusted Eurylochus because when the human body is deprived of food
their mind becomes "twisted" and they can go insane so they could've believed anything by that point to survive.
i think the crew became mutinious because they ran out of wine and bread and were starving.
i believe they trusted eurylochus because he promised the crew the gods would forgive them.
I think the men became mutinous because they were so starving that there thoughts were impaired. They weren’t able to fully process their...
actions. They trusted Eurylochus because of his promises. All they could wanted was food and Eurylochus hit that weak spot in his speach.
Also, when dieing most will try anything to survive. Euryloc saw it as eat and maybe die or starve to death. He saw it as their only chance.
I think that they became mutinous becouse they havent eatin in days and the where srarving. also they trusted eurylochus becuase what he was
i think they became mutinous because they believed odyessues got them into to all this trouble so they should disobey him. They trusted
Eurylochus because it seemed like he had new ideas and he gave them hope.
yes...it's easy to give up on a leader when things aren't going well..think of all the other times you've seen that in history..or even t
today or in your own lives..a leader can come in many forms (coach, teacher, parent, etc.)
