yeahhhh.. i was disappointed.

TOTALLY not what I expected. i kept waiting for someone to wake up or for things to change

it started off pretty good and then the creepy men made an appearance as which point i was pretty much like "AWW FUCK COME ONNNNNN".

and knee deep with religious connotations. i told kina i that i felt this movie encapsulated everything that irks me about christianity and

religion. i was waiting for the kids to start drinking "the kool aid"

it was religious but it also wasn't.. i think it was the tree of life at the end that pissed me off the most.

or maybe it was the alien angels..

Agreed on all counts! The ending was just terrible. I really, REALLY wanted it to not turn out the way it did!!

But you could see it coming like halfway through the movie... This horrible train wreck that can't be avoided, and you can't look away...1

I think Nicolas Cage is one of the most overrated actors of all time...... he was good in adaptation though

he has his moments. the fountain i didn't enjoy per se but i could respect it for what it was. like i cant say it was garbage it just isnt

for me.
