"Cosby": What is meant by "code-switching"? Do you think this is acceptable practice?

"Code-switching is the practice of moving between variations of languages in different contexts." (wikipedia)
This refers to people speaking differently in the "ghetto" than in the suburbs and people somewhat developing their own language depending
on where they live and their social status. I think it's completely normal for people to develop certain vernaculars depending on their
location and social status... Just as long as they're able to write without use of said vernacular, wherein lies the problem for people.
people should be able to speak however they want to
code-switching often means kids talk one way at school and another at home/socially...makes sense...many feel pressure to do so
