we took down some trees this summer and now have a huge stack of firewood. Trying to decide if we should get a wood stove.

wife turned on our heater because firewood has not been moved up to house. Thus, it was soaked in rain yesterday.

we had some chimney damage a few years back w/our old wood stove and took it out - last year just burned wood in fireplace

not very effective in heating whole house but the den was toasty

I can no longer burn the wood in the fireplace due to allergies. We now have a gas fireplace. I miss the smell of wood burning.
