the only way to rise up is to either transfer to a new school or get out if there is that option. those conditions arent suitable to learn
Where there's a will there's a way. It would be harder for me than just going to Wheatland, but I definitely think I could.
It depends. sure you could do whatever you want regardless of your situations, but for many people it's not possible. They need support
I'm not really sure what I would do in that situation. I probably wouldn't actually, it's easier to drop out and deal drugs than to go
can't transfer because public school is all about demographics...based on where you live
interesting...jon seems really confident...maybe a good thing...others aren't so sure. it's hard to try to put yourself in that place
i think i could rise above the situation and make the best of what i have especially if thats all ive ever had
but if i went there now i dont think i would be able to handle it
I really believe that I could rise above the situation and make the best of it. I might give up at times, but I would pick myself up and try
The world is tough and I know that
i believe that most of you do have the potential...i also believe that all students have the potential..
but finding your motivation takes some time; for elementary students, it may take altogether too much effort for little
kids that don't know how to find their own motivation
just something to think about
its all based on talent i think, the kids surrounded by crime become good at it, it just becomes an easy life and way to make money, but
people like jay-z who can rise from the projects to make history are able to make it cause of talent, if they dont have the talent of brains
or self motivation they're not going to make it out in that feild
maybe...i always think of the field i was in in NYC...everyone was talented and a lot of people were willing to work hard
it came down to lucky breaks...right place at right time, who you know...opportunities that just sort of "happened"
so what happens to the unlucky?
Well lots of people at Wheatland have a lot of the same problems as people in the city and they do extremely good for themselves. The kids
in the city can at least do the bare minimum to get a diploma. It's really not that hard to graduate from high school.
if that's true, why do some fail? you're right, there are struggles no matter where you are...however, circumstances seem to be a little
more out of their control and prevalent across the board..not in every case, for sure..
