not really, because although their is SOME interracial schooling theirs not a significant amount and you can still tell why there is a
difference between funding for a school like ours compared to one like that in the passage.
its debatable i guess.. some schools are doing very poorly and are neglected.. while others are doing good
it definitely has changed things dramatically, however, there is still a long way to go in order to get all schools to be completely equal
Well Brown made things official, but that's not to say people are going to properly take advantage of it.
absolutely, it gave everyone the right to go to whatever school they want. The difference is that it didn't make funding of schools fair.
but...can kids go to "whatever school they want"? doesn't look like it to me..brown v. board is the official, right.
but the laws seem awfully flexible
nclb is also severely limiting and harsh for underfunded and poor schools...
i think it has changed things...blacks and whites are mixed together in schools
of course it changed thing, there interracial schooling and a choice of what school you want to attend
do you have a choice? not for public school..
people definitely have a choice now a days as apposed to before Brown was in affect
sure there are limitations still, but there's more options
By the way, WC was one of the first (if not THE first) integrated district in NY. Never was a thought to segragate
After Brown, some counties in the south dissolved their public school systems, and sent all the white kids to private schools
really??! i had no idea...how interesting...
white kids and private schools..not so different from today
