the conversation he had with the kids about the unfair schooling and how these kids actually did want to learn.
I thought the conditions of the schools was really shocking
the conditions of the schools.. and how neglected they are
Just the conditions of the schools and how nobody does anything about them.
How no one (community, gov't) takes any action to restore the school. It obviously effects the kids learning because they don't have the
proper resources which should be there. In spite of all that, they are determined to learn.
i hope many of them will learn, but the sad fact is that many of them just have the "screw it" mentality...and i can't really blame them
50 mill in repairs??!! How does that even happen? And we're bickering over a soccer field for rec. soccer???!! Really??!!
it makes us realize how good we really have it even though we sometimes dont think we do. $50m in repairs is asinine.. schools need to be
maintained and looked after so the kids have a nice environment to learn
I wasn't shocked, I've heard stories of schools with conditions like that before
really? where? some places around here are bad, but 50 million is insane
the condition of the school and the 50 million dollars in repair that school needs.
i dont know i guess nothing really shocked me i didnt read this because i wanted to know about these things
but it isn't at least surprising? doesn't matter WHY you read it...you read it...so what do you think?
i think it is surprising that they actually go to a place like that
yes...but why do they have to pay for circumstances beyond their control? what if that is where you went to school?
the schools i went to in africa were similar to the ones in the story to an extent, little to no funding, everything falling apart, only 1
20 year old tv in the whole school and they didnt even have phones in the class rooms, but the kids wanted to learn and they had the drive
to do well is the only difference
really? why do you think that is? what did they say about the conditions of the school?
