180 Survived out of 500 people. I'm not sure if this problem is from the kids themselves or the community/government. Could either be.
That they just do not care for the school, and are not funding/teaching it correctly, or it could be 100% the kids fault. Tough to asnwer.
it seems like the kids do have the will to learn however the lack of funding because they think "it's a worthless cause" makes the kids feel
worthless. so how are they going to progress in school if they have no one supporting or believing in them? even from the school board.
Morris school isn't maintained... $50million to restore school.. Why would kids be motivated tolearn in those conditions?
Well I'm sure it's not that hard to graduate. I understand they won't get the same value of education, but the ones who want it are the ones
who are graduating. It's the kids fault for not graduating.
good stats and quotes...i underlined many of the same things...I've read all his stuff and it seems so hard to believe
maggie and jon seem to have conflicting views...if they exist in crap, they feel like crap, they perform like crap,
so...is "transcendence" possible? look at my other question
i can't imagine being "motivated" as you've said in those conditions
less than 50% graduate, so either our school is great hahahahaha or the other school is reaaaalllly bad
180 graduated out of 500. This shows that our education is better than theirs, probably because of funding
what's the funding based on? Socio-economics (we're going to talk about that today) race? are they one and the same?
what do we think of our school? in the grand scheme of things, after reading this, has your opinion changed
180 out of 500. It shows that, maybe those kids just did not care anymore.
I think it shows that not everybody gets the same opportunity to be good in school or in life
students should graduate if they work for it
they graduate 180 students
this tells me theres lots of kids at this school
yeah, but only 180 graduate...that's a pretty poor percentage...yes, Matt, not everyone gets the same opportunities..
well with such a high stat of drop outs it becomes the norm, its not as looked down upon if its common, they just take the easy way out..
where as in WC if you drop out your going no where in life is what people label you as, if there only 2 to do it everyone knows who you are
our values are a bit different...it's easier in the city to drop out...good point
