tt actually there is some truth to use a rich main with a rich lower as mixture compensation becomes too jarring if the overlap is too wide

suspects there are other factors at work such as throttle slide profile, overall carburetor venturi design, passive/active powerjets, etc.

based his conclusions on his butt dyno, plug color, and just changed his slide profile to a steeper one to lean out the lower end.

says don't forget to play with needle profile and height too.
