Because the perfect wedding is supposed to make the perfect marriage. It's alogical but what people think. :-P

Also the wedding is meant to be a once in a lifetime thing, so they want it to be shmick...Whereas they have a whole lifetime to 'work'

I think I'd have to be in a pretty horrible marriage to consider divorce. I mean like he'd have to be abusive or habitual liar and cheater
