well I have 2 of the same computers at my house right now. They are dell XPS M170 w/ 2gb ram and 2ghz dual core pentium M processors

Both of them were on the blink. The monoter would just go black. Found out it was cause the video card was overheating cause of dust buildup

in the heat sink. Cleaned both of them out real good including the fans and now one works. Everytime I start the other one however I am

getting the blue screen of death. I can boot in safe mode just fine. Gimme a sec and I will let you knopw what the blue screen says

You're going to have to boot into safe mode and then start adding what's missing, probably. Eventually, one of them will hang the machine.

sometimes just bringing it up in safe mode and rebooting helps too... question - is black screen before it gets the initial windows screen?

sounds like a hardware issue... make sure all the cables are in place (inside and out) after the dusting...

a blank screen whenI put it back together the first time it came up with a blue screen of death now nothing
