a fancy new jar + bulk ginger = a couple bucks less than a prepackaged jar of ginger. how...odd.
not really, I buy in bulk with whole spices and grind them myself. Sometimes as much as half off the price.
I was just totally blown away at how stark the difference was: 9.19/lb vs 50+/lb.
