Because he's male. There's a genetic predisposition to helplessness there.

hehehe... actually, in my family, even my mother calls me when she can't find things. So, it may be a family learned helplessness

I have a red star shaped slinky on my desk. A previous co-worker was into giving little trinket toys
LOL I get toys when we have career fairs. I have little stress ball faces, slinkys stuffed animals, you name it.

we get some of those two. I work in the International area and our stress balls are globes!
I used to have a globe but a visiting child took it home with him.
