easier to watch a thread here than on twitter...at least for me
and for me. Unless I follow you followers I can't see the conversation on Twitter
Well, you can summize it, but still its much nicer on Plurk. Pretty easy not to use Twitter these days. Noticed that since I don't
actively Tweet anymore, I keep gaining new followers, but the people I follow are posting less, and less, and less...
twitter...twitter? hmm I sort of remember that?
Plurk lends itself to a richer conversation
people actually answer me here...and i have a lot more followers in twitter
u should have seen my thread om cell phones-over 100+ here and only 3 on Twitter
yeah, but that's because you're not a "Rock Star"

If you were, you would LOVE Twitter...
Twitter = "Permission Based Stalking" - did you see that article about the two types of Twitter users and how they drive each other nuts?
teach42: actually this is YOUR fault. You told us that twitter was so April/May and plurk was more June/July...still waiting to see what
stacykasse hehe. I've found 3 more microblogging tools/sites since Plurk. However, none of them are an improvement.
whew...time to breathe there for a while then. that really WAS a good speech, btw
he is beginning to use plurk more than twitter, but not gaining followers/followees as fast
yeah, I have the same doubt. (I like wordle, but not exactly what I would call 2.0!)
I don't see too many replies to people on Twitter, or maybe I'm just not on the right lists in Twitter. Plurk is so much easier to follow...
I agree with the conversation benefits of Plurk.
and so much more conversational. Just wish some of the active Tweeters would also Plurk.
you know, the Twitter Rock Stars in Ed Tech. I'm interested in what they are saying and sharing, but find Twitter so hard to follow
I'd rather get my Tweets in Plurk!
I dunno - I still see mostly @ replies in Twitter when I check it. Since Tweetdeck, it is very easy to pick out your 20 "buds" and filter
most everyone else. And that's the problem. "They" became very chatty, in a very small clique. You could tune in & watch, but...
Not *MY* idea of a network - ideas have to flow both ways.
agapejen: I completely agree. I love feeling like I'm having a conversation rather than shouting inot the universe.
Very interesting, thinking (or rethinking) my (very few and random) tweets lately.
I, too, like the ease of conversations in Plurk.
But I also like the quick bits on Twitter. I think both have a place in my PLN.
I do wish Plurk would go back to the oldest Plurk when you click on Read Responses. Easier to scan forward.
