you can do that...but oftentimes...you end up in very interesting discussions. I've seen some threads have 100[s of replies.

I usually do mine for the whole world.

it only shows up on the people who are friends or fans of you.

but I'm reading plurks from people who are niether friends nor fans.. that's what I don't get

you should see your plurks as well as those who are under your Friends tab and those people that you have signed up as their fans.

they were there when I first went to my profile page

the only way anyone should be on your profile page is if you added them as a friend or you became a fan of them.

I didn't though.. they were there right away

well you added me as a fan. That's the only way I know you because I don't know anyone on your friend list so that' s what it might be.
