i have a few distinct ones in terms of narrative archetypes but there is a throughline between (almost) all of them

one of my favorite major archetypes is like. The Spooky Little Girl (gender inclusive). you know the type. the kid character with a disturbing sense of maturity (false or otherwise) and propensity for violence. chara is this, damian is this when his whole deal is taken fully seriously, rika, kris, satoko, babette, maria, anthy...

near isn't really this but everyone acts like he is just because he's a little weirdo, beyond is talked about in the past tense as having been this growing up, bruce wayne was this. there are many comic flashbacks where people who had a hand in raising him talk about how fucking creepy he is (leslie & alfred mostly).

misty is also this she's just actually a deeply disturbed teenager. same as terra and raven.

my other character type is just this post

to varying degrees of intensity. this is the most satoko post i've ever seen in my life but it also describes faith, stephanie, imoen, spike, misty, shion, beato, the black rose duelists.......... varying degrees of inferiority complex or obsessive loyalty or both. most of them buckle and break under this pressure but some just internalize it forever.

misty and spike being the clearest cases of that.

Spooky Little Girl is a very neat character type and you play it really well!

then there's shitty blonde girls who put up a front of being a lot more on top of things than they are, when in fact they're desperately lonely and on the verge of falling apart. that's another type.
