the setting was going to be centering an island with its secrets and mysteries so I was looking around aquatic races to get an idea... and I found that there are a surprisingly limited amount of official fish-based races from the official releases
and had this ridiculous idea of building a sailfish/marlin variant that has +2DEX/+1STR instead of +2STR/+1DEX I mean, look at 'em, silliest concept ever
I think this makes a pretty good monk if dice rolls don't screw anything up..? attribute increase + natural armor + unarmored defense gives a whopping 17(+3) at level 1 (taking the prerolled attributes)
the saving throws against poison and stuff are going to be wasted at high level monk where you get immunity to certain stuff and can spend ki points to recover from stat effects but I think it's worth it...
vibe check for the rest of the party is still needed, though, so will be holding onto this concept until session 0 I just want to cover the roles that didn't get covered XD
