also god bless things like how easy it is to sync Brave across multiple systems so I have all my bookmarks easy to transfer and stuff

anyway the bad news is that i feel massively behind the eight ball, both in how many tags I have in my inbox, how old many of them are, and also the event starting almost a week ago at this point so i don't know that i am going to do. anything. with that....

which sucks! i want to be excited and do fun new stuff, but tbh i haven't even looked at any of the mod posts or read any plurks since my laptop went down at all because honestly it just stresses me out too much

so. that's where that is at. maybe i will clear my inbox in the next day or two and set up a big tag bomb and consider doing new stuff but..... i think that would be more harm than good at this point

this all feels a little whiny and self-pitying but i'm not trying to get reassurance or anything here i am just trying to let people know where i am at for the moment and that i am slowly going to be crawling out of my hole

also assuming that work can be chill

fun fact one of my weekender coworkers took vacation this week which, like, good for him he should he deserves it

but it also means that thanks to the recent cuts to our team i am not only working twelve hour days on saturday and sunday this week but also working like three hours entirely by myself

so that's fun

It can be pretty overwhelming but just take it one step at a time! I'm going to be real that it's been pretty chill and slow so you aren't probably as behind about the mingle as you might realize. Also we're expected an actual event on the 20th and this is just a welcome mingle!
