he’s home sick today, on the downside he’s not feeling well but on the upside he will sleep a lot and we can still work

poor boy has been crashed out all day. I really hope he feels better tomorrow, it's so sad when he's like this

his fever isn't too crazy though so I think he's just working through a cold or something

like on the one side it's nice when we can work when he's home, but the cost is that he's just a little guy and he's uncomfortable and I'm worried about him

poor little dude. :c hope his system fights it off quick.

usually his fevers go away after a day but this one was hanging on so we took him in and I’m glad we did

my therapist used to work with really little kids at a daycare and has told me it's fine to bring him if I need to, which is very nice of her

but there's additional relief that she is undoubtedly Good With Kids and won't be annoyed

trying to attend a work meeting on my phone while covered in boys

Callen was snoring so loudly I had to move him to the pack n play because I couldn’t hear the meeting lmao

today has kind of sucked!! callen is still home, feeling better (good) but not well enough to go to school (bad) which means juggling work and keeping him entertaind

he was taking a nap and just woke up screaming and kept screaming inconsolably for twenty minutes. and now he's asleep again

we're both worn so thin from, honestly, stressing about him bc he hasn't been feeling well, and getting jack shit done as a result

and it doesn't help that every time I even think about concentrating on something he starts up again (this is not his fault, he is a baby and uncomfortable)

I'm like how does anyone who isn't salaried have a baby. this is untenable. if I had to be on call in any way I would get fired, the only reason I can do my job at all when he's home is I can sneak in work at weird hours

anyway. it'll be ok and most importantly he is visibly on the mend

oh great wonderful he's got thrush now from the antibiotics
