When Xfinity doesn't let you through to a live agent without resetting the internet. In other words, let me tell you of the pain of trying to help with a call (on the customer end, not on Xfinity) when the person making the call insists she's not yelling.

Note that the problem is that we were getting free Peacock because we have Xfinity internet. We had been going through my account. And then suddenly one day it stopped working. We put a call and they say they're working on it. And then nothing (but shouting conversations I avoid like the plague). So now we're trying again.

Slight issue? I get triggered by shouting. And I don't use that word in the colloquial meaning. I literally tense up and feel like running from the room. Even 'loud speaking' can trigger the reaction. In particular, loud speaking of someone who is (even rightfully) angry.

So, uh, pray for me? I'm going to attempt to focus on getting my plot post written and ignore the angry words until I'm needed.

I made it about 15 minutes the last time before I had to book it.

yeah I was going to suggest leaving the room entirely OR taking over the call entirely!

I've tried both. I'd like to take over the phone call, but she's invested now. And I've been specifically requested, so I can't leave like I could last time.

We are on a time limit. Apparently the person making the call can only stay on the phone for a half hour. So. There's an end in sight.

I really need a bingo card for this series of phone calls.

I mean you don't have to say yes to either of those conditions! You can say "give it to me or I am leaving" and then leave.

You don't have to reward behavior that you can't tolerate with cooperation.

So, I woke up at 4:30 am. Yesterday morning. I had a brief nap of about an hour or two yesterday afternoon when I dozed off before dinner and then had about 10 minutes last night. God, I'll be ready for bed tonight.
