HAH! I have been searching for this program for years. For people who like writing timers and a word goal together, there's a program called Write Attack.
I used to use it to write my logs because it would help me focus. Most writing software has either one or the other, but not both.
But I lost it when my old laptop died.
And I couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the program.
I will say that it deletes the text if you don't finish the word count.
So it's kind of like Write or Die. But more barebones.
