the daffodils appear to have survived, including the ones that weren't covered by buckets
I haven't removed my fall mulch cover bc I knew the other shoe would drop but there's still a lot already coming up garden plz
found the Jacob's ladder today, prairie phlox are very up, even the bleeding heart is up
Virginia bluebells appear completely unfazed by being covered in 4 inches of slush
but the snow isn't fully off the beds yet so I can't remove mulch this weekend - it's too wet. sigh
I can't plant my fire pinks, fireweed, boneset, and red Oswego tea until I rake off the mulch

although given forecasts I don't think I'm going to try to rush a road trip to see the eclipse at totality. we're going to be at 87 percent and that's...pretty neat actually
got the email this morning that the county has them in stock, so I can get a $30 reimbursement when I install
