Barrow is the football coach/shop teacher who lures people into taking his class because it seems like a blowoff and then accidentally teaches them things

he is very protective of all the kids and class sessions regularly just turn into everyone venting about their problems to him and to each other while they build stuff and he sits at the front doing crossword puzzles

the football team is Okay. he could probably encourage them to be more competitive, but what's more important is that they're staying out of trouble!!!!

Benedict is only at the public school because he got kicked out of his elite junior college for dealing drugs and trying to seduce teachers

he is making up for his indiscretions by dealing drugs and trying to seduce teachers

when he's in class at all he's usually high, but does well enough on tests that he somehow infuriatingly continues to pass. homework is for chumps like octavius who he almost certainly always groups with for big projects because he will do all the work without complaint ragweed

Fifi is notable for being on the dance team but otherwise completely flies under the radar. she doesn't date anyone, she doesn't wear interesting clothes, her grades are fine. she might cheer up a crying drunk girl in the bathroom at a party from time to time, but nobody can prove it was her

I also love doing this for ex-game characters so

Cade is a golden boy star athlete perfect grades and that kid is going to fucking snap someday

shows up to all the social things because of peer pressure, always has a face like a horse that's about to spook, dates a cheerleader he never touches and who can't stand him

somebody actually gets him to talk openly about his life & feelings one day and they regret it immediately

Teren is some kind of teacher, I can't decide what subject, but everyone either loves her class or absolutely hates it with no in between. kids who try to sass her but aren't clever enough about it have smoldering craters where their self-esteem used to be

I wanna say it's some kind of history or like. econ. and she's insane and radical and will kill you in real life if you try to argue with her

she's technically a liability to the school but also gets really good work out of her students because she's terrifying, so she hasn't been fired yet

Mado is one of the janitors. He does stupid tricks with his cleaning equipment to make kids laugh, and is in the front cheering section at every school sporting event. probably smokes with students sometimes if they invite him, he's pretty close to their age, but he doesn't get involved in their personal lives

Brother Gideon is that kid. you know the one.

Gannicus has tossed Benedict into at least one locker for being a stuck up little dirtbag

He was also from Pakistan and extremely political and had no problem telling a bunch of mostly-white Dallas surburbanites that the USA was evil. He never got fired because everyone did great on the AP exam + robot team.

there is an unspoken system wherein some kids help him with his homework and being seen with him prevents external bullying from others

he occasionally gets into trouble for fighting, in the 'they started it and I finished it' sort of way

Teren is an okay student but firmly believes there are more important things she could be doing, so she drops out in junior year and is never heard from again until she shows up on Dateline twenty years later

did she get her GED? did she go to prison? don't worry about it. she's thriving
