okay wow i said here we go and then a work truck hit me but its FINE NOW so here we actually go. this is gonna be a lot of rambling sorry about it since im also probably gonna talk about game events

screamtail TOTTY ........ okay so the totty story is so funny because honestly their first real interaction was the party where lucien stole his phone and tottys reaction to it was so funny to him because

listen lucien really did go into that thinking oh this will be funny and did not think it would be that sociopathic because stealing for funsies is what you do as a normal person? normal people do that for funsies? if he was really being hateful itd be a stabbing but totty was like (RIGHTFULLY) very mad

so it was just sort of a funny disconnect on luciens fucked up little brain and totty being more ... normal. "normal." nothing about him is normal (compliment)

but I think after totty was kinda like chill and cool about some of his fucked up memory stuff, and lucien himself was a little less keyed up like he had been in the early weeks he was a lot more cool with him and in fact thought he was an alright guy

even if he did want to steal his phone at every possible opportunity

they also had a brief conversation about the like. more meta parts of totty's life which honestly made sense to lucien actually? he is very willing to accept some chaos and absurdity on its face and he liked tottys ability to like ... lean into that if that makes sense

the thing about lucien that is funny is that he does not actually hate many people here he is just Like That. if he hated someone he would say it.

i think they first bonded a bit over the arm thing, where gregor was kind of ashamed and hiding his bug parts on bodymod week, but lucien is definitely ... used to that sort of thing. apart from just being non-human he worked for a long time with people who did all sorts of horrifying body transformations for fighting ability

like werewolves and order of the mutant bloodhunters, so its not super usual? or at least hes extremely desensitized to monstery-things. sometimes youve seen enough of the horrors they cease being horrors and are just Guys

but apart from that he did relate to Going Through the Horrors like the limbuses have more experience with the whole dying and revival cycle but hes got some and they didnt treat it as strange and that was kind of nice to be around, and he never got a sense of like. false niceties from gregor either which he appreciated. I think for the most part

gregor just treated him like a pretty normal guy and that was nice of him

he made a critical error in thinking lucien, guy who delights in being mean, would do a pity date though im so sorry. he is evil and bad and was like im gonna DESTROY this virgins self-esteem because thats hilarious. SORRY SORRY SORRY

so i think its IMPORTANT to note that like. intro weekend lucien was coming in insanely keyed up on god-delusions and was like, introducing himself as his title and was spiraling a lot and sciens whole deal sort of played into that

so I feel like he really rankled whenever scien would try and wind him up because I do feel like scien saw right through his shit and called him on it repeatedly IT WAS INCREDIBLY FUNNY

so he meanly took a little bit of pleasure in the fact that scien ended up being the one who got raged and got smacked down from HIS god pedastal because lucien is DIFFERENT obviously and so much better (no)

he also ended up stealing dahuts heart because he hadnt heard a ton about the reliver stuff until the trial when it all got aired out ... along with sciens specific request that it just be destroyed, and that was impossible to avoid catnip he basically had to know more so he stole it SORRY

did he learn anything? no. did it impress a boy? question mark. would he do it again? hell yeah.

AND THEN HE DIED AND i think it says. a terrifying amount about both of them that the next conversation they had was just

and then after that they were just? weirdly friendly? i dont know i feel like they both got a little domesticated and it made them both more and less weird. after that he was pretty interested in sciens machine but mostly for the fact that viktor was considering it

lucien has a really shitass personality where if someone is too interested or wants him to do something Too Much he will automatically not want to do it. like an asshole. so whenever scien would ask about his specific problem he just dug in and was like "ITS MINE"

like a dumbass ........... ANYWAY I THINK WEIRDLY HE WOULD CONSIDER THEM. friendly. i dont know. he liked him. scien doesnt try and disguise who he is or mince words and he admires that in a person? scien is kind of a cool guy weirdly enough

SO LUCIEN IS ... REALLY BAD WITH KIDS. but shoma didnt act like a super young kid (for reasons obviously) so he was kind of shocked when he could tolerate him and wasnt really bothered by him especially at first

and instead found him mostly kinda chill and relatively put together considering the circumstances, and he kind of appreciated especially when he kind and reached out after the cyoa and was pretty gentle about it

i think the thread that really sticks out to me is the panacea one becase there was something about like. the specific curses shoma was under that were really like. lucien would be really triggered by them and he managed to scrounge up some empathy for this kid and figured

he'd just. try and be nice. IT WAS KIND OF THE FIRST SEMI-NICE THING HE DID ALL GAME. like sure he tried to couch it in like "well youre trading me information " but we all know that is horseshit it is just an excuse

AND THEN after that he just sorta vibed with him, he was smart and seemed on top of things and seemed to value information so it was. NOT SHOCKING when he turned out to be one of the roles. getting yote last into the role thing was so fucking funny he was so confused but also yeah sure it makes total sense there was a role per npc

also i did laugh at just blatantly asking what shoma what his fucking deal was that is the way all lore reveals should go

dude straight up whats your problem ...........
